SEO несколько слешей в конце урлов категорий

Приветствую всех форумчан!

Помогите разобраться в следующей проблеме:

Урлы категорий на сайте имеют вид: "mysite.ru/category/podcategory/"

при этом эта же страница доступна по адресу "mysite.ru/category/podcategory////"

Товары расположены по урлу: mysite.ru/tovar при переходе на "mysite.ru/tovar/" происходит редирект на "mysite.ru/tovar" 

Как решить проблему и привести все к общему знаменателю что бы или все было со слешами и правильным редиректом или наоборот без слешей. По форуму в темах пробывал разные варианты результата не дало.
