Как правильно чистить кэш?

Здравствуйте!
Есть несколько проблема. Первая: делаю описание категорий, но они не отображаются на странице сайта, а при просмотре исходного кода сайта, текст описания есть. Вторая: настраиваю редиректы 301, однако почему-то они до сих пор не работают.

После указанных действий очищал кэш с помощью модуля NitroPack, чистил кэш браузера, пробовал заходить с другого компьютера, однако текст описания так и не появился, редиректы не работают. 

Из-за того, что текст описания есть в исходном коде сайта, подозреваю, что возможно кэш я чищу неправильно. А может и еще чего делаю неправильно. 

Подскажите, как правильно чистить кэш или может еще какие-нибудь советы есть?)

Поставил 301 редирект сразу после RewriteBase / 

В итоге 500 ошибка. Вернул исходный файл - все норм! 

Подскажите, почему не работают 301 редирект?

Сделал как вы написали и все равно не работает, можете сами удостовериться.

Помогите кто-нибудь решить проблему. 

Редирект начал работать после того, как я строку redirect 301 поставил перед RewriteBase /

Прописал так одну страницу. Открываю - редирект работает. Обрадовался, начал делать дальше.

Вот вариант, который работал:

redirect 301 /index.php?path=59&route=product/category http://fintshop.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59 

Прописал еще несколько адресов (нужно было сделать редирект с seo-урлов на стандартные open cart'a), попробовал открыть сайт, а он не работает. Весь сайт не открывался, появлялась ошибка 500 на любой странице. 

Теперь даже не работает вариант с одним редиректом, который изначально получился.

Я уже ничего не понимаю(
