FAQ: What is the difference between SE and PRO versions?
They differ in that the PRO version has more "advanced" settings for professionals who understand what they are doing and have the necessary knowledge (hence, it's called PRO, short for professional).
Upon request in a private message (PM), you can receive the PRO version. (For 99.9% of users, the settings in the simpler special edition SE version are sufficient).
For example, the PRO version includes functionality to ignore the execution of certain models.
Those who are familiar with request logs know that in OpenCart 3 there is a model called ModelDesignTranslation and a method getTranslations, which "bombard" the database with identical empty queries (from 30 to 100+ queries) on each page, and these queries return nothing. If translations aren't filled out (which is the case in 90% of scenarios, and specialists can see this), then there's no need to waste resources. That's why there is an option to ignore the execution of methods from some unnecessary models.
There are many other settings like this. But you understand that only specialists are aware of these "fine-tuning" options in OpenCart. That’s why they need the PRO version. Regular users, who don’t have such expertise, might enable these settings, and if they have translations stored in the database, the translations won't work.
