National Bank of Kazakhstan Exchange Rates for OpenCart 3
NBK updates your store’s exchange rates using official data from the National Bank of Kazakhstan. It reads the Bank’s RSS feed, calculates rates relative to your store’s default currency and saves them to OpenCart’s standard currency table.
Features
- Update rates with the standard Refresh button under “System → Localisation → Currencies”.
- Schedule automatic updates with cron.
- Use KZT or another default currency, provided that currency is available in the Bank’s feed.
- Set a separate percentage rate adjustment for each currency.
- Protect the cron URL with a required secret key and an optional IP restriction.
- Keep manually entered rates for currencies that are absent from the feed.
The extension does not modify OpenCart core files or use OCMOD. It connects to the standard currency refresh action through an OpenCart event.
Compatibility and requirements: OpenCart 3.0.x (tested on 3.0.3.x), PHP 7.4–8.5, the PHP curl and dom extensions, and outbound HTTPS access to nationalbank.kz. The settings interface is available in English, Kazakh, Russian and Ukrainian.
Installation: upload the extension files to your store, then go to “Extensions → Extensions → Currencies”, install “National Bank of Kazakhstan”, enable it and save the settings. You can then refresh rates manually or use the ready-made cron command shown on the settings page.
